The following photograph depicts how the A4 (8.25”x11.75”) print would look in a 11”x14” frame with mat. Both landscape and portrait positions are shown. Once you put these smaller photos in a frame with matt, they actually can take up more space than you originally thought. Also depicted is the A3+ prints in an 18”x24” frame with mat. Again, once you put these prints into a frame, they do take up more spaces than initially anticipated, 2-3 A3+ size prints with frame and mat can easily cover the space above a living room couch quite nicely. If you look at the 18”x24” frame in the picture, this will give you an idea of how an A2 (16.5”x23.5”) print would look without a frame and mat. A good size 20”x26” frame can hold a 16”x22'“ photo with mat which is almost perfect for the A2 size print.

The paper size of A4 is 8.25” x 11.75”. All prints come with a border for proper mat mounting. Each border may vary depending on the print. For the most part, our A4 prints will have a printed area of approximately 7.2” x 10.6”. This can vary from print to print. There are various size frames and mats that can be used with your A4 print. I find that purchasing a 11”x14” frame with a mat that has an opening of 8x10” works fairly well without too much of the picture being hidden by the mat. I have included links to medium priced frames below.
We do offer the option to purchase a white or black mat with your picture that is custom cut to have a larger mat opening if that is your preference. There are examples below. We off both the white and black mat with this larger size opening to purchase with your print if that is your preference.
